Healthcare is optimally sustainable when prevention succeeds. Early identification of the risks, targeted action so that teeth can recover from an imbalance. That is the basis of prevention and child-friendly oral care in the dental chair
and at home.
We do not rely on technical repair, but on breaking through ingrained patterns. This is not an easy mission: only using the latest technological innovation and a drastically different working method is not enough.
With this prevention-oriented oral care at home, we connect young families with prevention-passionate oral care providers. Lifestyle coaches, primary school teachers, dietitians and scientists (dental/developmental psychology) also have a role to play.
Are you a prevention-passionate oral care provider, who dares to name responsibilities and wants to be aware of all social and scientific insights. Insights that we convert into actions to (digitally) support and reward healthy behavior at home and thus reduce the bacterial pressure in a targeted and measurable way.
This mission will not succeed without proactive passionate oral care providers and super specialists (nutrition, motivation, digital social science, leadership, mathematicians, code, no-code, communication, AI). In short, we also need you to give this the targeted effective attention it deserves.

Oral care providers at home
Get started with prevention when it suits me
Cool teeth at the age of 18, you will enjoy them for a lifetime. Parents often do not know how much they have control over this. They usually entrust the oral health of themselves and their children to the dentist. The dentist takes responsibility for what happens in the practice and the modern dental care provider makes follow-up appointments depending on whether a low or increased caries risk has been identified.
Often parents and children forget about the risks and risk spots once they are back home and in normal life. We have more frequent contact with the Home Dentist and the oral care provider has a better view of what is happening at home. For example, they see children with a high risk of caries more often in the dental chair, so to speak, but without having to make an appointment at the practice.

Youth has the right to dental care, also at home
Both dental care providers and patients experience some frustration around prevention communication. Often, a dental care provider already has a well-thought-out motivation-based, personalized prevention approach in line with the 'Gewoon Gaaf protocol'.
Too often the essence is not remembered and/or not followed by the child's parent for more than a few weeks*. Research shows that this phenomenon also plays a role in other areas of healthcare.
The problem and the solution are both complex and remarkably simple at the same time. Complex because of the multi-disciplinarity (oral care, social science, high tech), but also simple because, for example, children can make their own mouth map, which also functions as a 'dashboard on the cleaning mirror at home'.
The Home Dentist provides the dental care provider with the infrastructure to efficiently start the dialogue before and after the session in the chair. Patients therefore feel supported at home at a time that suits them.
